Embracing the earth
this stout trunk, with so many branches
Tired of the storms
All alone and with little hope
Just about to announce its departure...
Nurtured, by an infinite solitude
That same earth receives the tree’s tears,
bittersweet they are.
Nature herself hears the tree’s cries and suddenly
a magical light plays upon the tips of its green fingers
Spring arrives, grateful and honouring the tree for having stood strong so long, bequeathes its very first leaves...
The great greenness flushes downward, inspired by all that surrounds it
pushes down, tickling the tree’s great roots.
The tree is so content that it bursts forth a thousand fruits, life
The whole universe celebrates, and at once the tree
forgets how lonely it was....
